@content
Rock Raiders: High Adventure Deep Underground is a Rock Raiders graphic novel released in 2000.
- Writer: Alan Grant
- Illustrators: Robin Smith, Lego Media International
- Publisher: Lego Systems Inc.
- Pages: 48
- For Ages: 7+
Plot
The novel tells, from Jet’s point-of-view and in greater detail, the events on Planet U. The book begins with the LMS Explorer heading on a return course to home base when the ship is bombarded by asteroids and sucked through a wormhole. Winding up in an unfamiliar system, the Rock Raiders are sent down to the nearest planet to mine Energy Crystals.
Details
The characters of the Rock Raiders are expanded on, however. Tiny back-stories are given on some characters, such as how Chief lost his arm. Personalities are grown on, such as Sparks' coffee addiction, or Axle's jokes.
Unlike the Interactive Puzzle Storybook, Lava Monsters look like they do in the games. Granite Grinders are also shown as being able to jump.

Race for Survival
Race for Survival is a short illustrated novel released in 2000.
- Writer: Marie Birkinshaw
- Illustrators: Roger Harris
- Publisher: Dorling Kindersley
- For Ages: 2-4
Plot
Race For Survival takes place six months after the events in High Adventure Deep Underground.
Details
On the side of each page is a small article on Geology. It is, for the most part, canon, however there are two minor inconsistencies:
Planet U is located at the farthest reaches of the Milky Way, instead of being in another galaxy.
Slimy Slugs are giant and swallow Energy Crystals, while in the games they are really the size of Rock Raiders, and, while they might be able to reach great sizes, they drain the crystals of their power instead of devouring them.
Interestingly, the cover shows Jet and Axle escaping a lava flow on a Hoverboard, though this scene never appears. The Hoverboard does not even appear in the book.
